Apixaban Information :

Uses :

The medication Apixaban tablet is referred to as a blood thinner or anticoagulant. It aids in the treatment and prevention of blood clots. It cures and prevents clots from forming in your heart, brain, lungs, and legs. It lowers the risk of heart attack and stroke.

Apixaban tablets are frequently used to reduce clot development in people with atrial fibrillation, an abnormal heart beat. Additionally, it lowers the risk of blood clots in patients who have had elective hip or knee replacement surgery. It is ideal to take these at the same time every day, however they can be taken with or without food. In certain situations, you might need to take this medication for the rest of your life.

Never stop taking it or alter the dosage without first consulting your physician. Your risk of heart attack, stroke, or thrombosis (a blood clot forming inside a blood artery) may increase rapidly. Changing your lifestyle to include good food, regular exercise, quitting smoking, and, if necessary, weight loss can lower your risk of blood clots.

Precautions & Warnings :

Please let your doctor know if you have a history of allergies to Apixaban or any other medications. It is recommended that you speak with a doctor before using Apixaban if you are pregnant or nursing a baby. Before taking Apixaban, let your doctor know if you have a stomach ulcer, recent brain bleeding, kidney or liver issues, high blood pressure, or bleeding issues. The ‘international normalized ratio’ (INR) is a blood test that your doctor could recommend to measure the rate at which your blood clots. Your doctor will use the results of this test to determine when you should begin taking Apixaban.
