Arimidex (Anastrozole)

ARIMIDEX (Anastrozole) is approved for the initial treatment of postmenopausal women with hormone receptor-positive or hormone receptor-unknown locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer and for the treatment of postmenopausal women with advanced breast cancer that has progressed following treatment with tamoxifen.

Aromasin (Exemestane) lowers estrogen levels in postmenopausal women, which may slow the growth of certain types of breast tumors that need estrogen to grow in the body. Aromasin is used to treat early and advanced breast cancer in postmenopausal women. Early breast cancer is cancer that has not spread outside the breast.
