Depo-Provera Information :

Uses :

Medroxyprogesterone Acetate is used to treat uterine bleeding, heavy, painful, irregular, or skipped periods, and menstrual absence. Along with lowering the chance of endometrial hyperplasia, which can result in uterine cancer, it is also used to treat mild to moderate endometriosis. Another application for medroxyprogesterone acetate is to avoid getting pregnant.

Medroxyprogesterone Acetate: This substance functions by either supplementing or substituting the naturally occurring female sex hormone progesterone. In order to cure endometriosis, medroxyprogesterone acetate thins the lining of the uterus, which stops tissues from moving from the uterus to other areas of the body. By preventing ovulation—the release of eggs from the ovaries—it aids in preventing pregnancy.
